My name is Elyse Mika Bowman, and I'm the Founder and Owner of MIKA Hawaii. As a self-taught artist, I draw inspiration from the world around me, particularly the lush tropical environment of my childhood on the windward side of Oahu. My passion for nature and science infuses my designs, resulting in intricate, textured pieces that are truly unique. I'm dedicated to honing my craft and learning something new every day, which helps me to continue growing as an artist.

Although I graduated with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition, my love for the art of creativity eventually led me to jewelry-making as a hobby, and it's now become my full-time business. At MIKA Hawaii, we specialize in original pieces you won’t find anywhere else, but we also offer repeat items and alterations. We take pride in creating personalized jewelry that reflects the individuality of our valued customers.

When I’m not busy designing, I draw inspiration from the things I love. That can be anything from food, art, travel, nature, and animals, to cherished family and friends. Every one of these inspires me to focus on what's essential and continue bringing quality products to people, while also showcasing the paradise that is Hawaii. It is truly a dream come true to be able to incorporate so much of what I admire into lasting jewelry.
