This means that once you have purchased an item, there are no refunds or exchanges unless the item is defective. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please take your time when choosing your jewelry. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. HANDMADE JEWELRY

Every Mika Hawaii piece is hand-crafted in small batches by Elyse herself. A wide range of materials are used in designs, such as gemstones, shells, coconut fiber, real flowers and insects; many hand collected and meticulously picked for quality. Slight variations of color, texture and placement are to be expected, making each piece truly a one-of-a-kind.

JEWELRY MATERIALS & CARE

14K GoldFIlled: a thick layer of real 14K gold mechanically bonded to a base metal (nickel free). More durable and much longer lasting than plated finishes; with proper care it can keep its look for years.

Sterling Silver (925): 92.5% silver mixed with other metals for strength. Tarnishes over time, and when not being worn, but polishes back to a bright shine. Sometimes oxidized to black to bring out details and give a vintage look.

Jeweler’s Brass: a copper/zinc alloy with a warm gold tone that develops a patina over time or chemically, creating vibrant vintage green and blue tones.

Other Elements: many pieces include natural additions, such as real preserved flowers, shells, seaglass, resin, coconut fiber, gemstones, which are part of the handmade charm and require gentler care.

JEWELRY CARE

Normal wear and tear is expected with use, but following these guidelines can extend the life of your beautiful jewelry for many years to come.

General Guidelines

Store jewelry in a cool, dry, and safe place; a box or pouch is best, especially when traveling. Avoid leaving items in direct sunlight or humid conditions.

Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising. Make sure to put jewelry on last (after lotions, perfumes, hair products etc.)

REPAIRS

MIKA Hawaii is happy to help with repairs when possible. There is a minimum repair fee of $10 plus any additional costs for materials and labor determined on a case-by-case basis. Shipping and handling for repairs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed. Please email infomikahawaii@gmail.com with a photo of the item and date of purchase to begin a repair request.

MADE TO ORDER

While there are many past designs, made to order items will NO LONGER be listed on the website due to fluctuating costs and the inability to keep track of changing prices. All listings on the site are now ready to ship. If you’re interested in an older design or would like something similar to a past piece, please message us; we may be able to recreate or adapt a design on a case-by-case basis of available materials.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Dreaming of a special piece of jewelry, or in need of a certain color for an event? Please note ALL custom orders require a minimum $25 deposit which will be applied towards the final invoice. Email infomikahawaii@gmail.com with your idea or inspiration and we will discuss design, pricing, and timelines.

SHIPPING

MIKA Hawaii items are shipped from Hawaii via USPS. Please note MIKA Hawaii is NOT responsible for lost, damaged or stolen mail. It's recommended to insure your package; although rare, there can be instances of loss, damage, or theft during transit.

Standard USPS Ground Advantage: $6.99
(includes up to $100 insurance, expected delivery 2-5 business days from shipment date)
Full Insurance USPS Ground Advantage: $9.99 (expected delivery 2-5 business days from shipment date)
Standard USPS Priority Mail: $13.99
(includes up to $50 insurance, expected delivery 1-3 business days from shipment date)
Full Insurance USPS Priority Mail: $16.99 (expected delivery 1-3 business days from shipment date)
International Shipping is available; rates and timeframes are calculated based on destination.

SIZING GUIDE

Finding your correct bangle, ring, or necklace size is just as important as finding the right bangle, ring or necklace. Please be sure to choose the correct size BEFORE ordering as all sales are final and no returns or exchanges will be accepted.

BANGLES/RINGS

You can measure the inside diameter across the widest point (center)of a bangle or ring you already own that fits comfortably and compare it to a listing measurement.
If you don’t have a bangle or ring to measure, you can measure the widest part of your knuckle for a bangle, or around the base of the desired finger for a ring using a measuring tape. You can also use a string, floss or whatever else is handy and then measure the string using a ruler and the size can be calculated from there. If you are having trouble determining the size please reach out and we can do our best to help.
If you live on Oahu, you can come to one of our local pop-up markets and we can provide a bangle/ring sizer and help you measure.

NECKLACES

To find the right necklace size, the same options can be used.

You can measure the length of a necklace you already own.
You can use a measuring tape (or string) around your neck to find the desired length.
You can come to our local market pop-up and we will help you find your desired size.
