Each MIKA Hawaii piece is individually handcrafted from start to finish, using a blend of natural elements and mixed media. No two pieces are ever exactly alike — variations in color, texture, and form aren't imperfections, they're part of the story.

Sales Policy

Thoughtfully Made & Chosen

All sales are final. Credit card transactions include applicable tax and a processing fee. Returns and exchanges are not offered unless an item is received defective — we want you to love what you choose, so please take your time selecting before checkout.

All items are first come, first served. We're unable to hold items without payment, and pricing stays consistent across all platforms (online, in-person, and social).

Handmade Jewelry

MIKA Hawaii is hand-crafted, small-batch jewelry and décor made with 14K goldfilled, sterling silver, and brass, alongside semiprecious gemstones, shells, seaglass, coconut fiber, resin, and other elements sourced from around the world — many hand-collected by Elyse herself. All ear wires, necklaces, and rings are hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.

Because each piece is genuinely handmade, a little extra care goes a long way in keeping it beautiful for years to come.

Care

A Little Care Goes a Long Way

To preserve your piece:

  • Avoid saltwater, sweat, lotions, and perfumes

  • Remove before sleeping or strenuous activity

  • Store in a dry pouch or jewelry box

If your piece gets wet, rinse gently with fresh water and pat dry. Natural wear over time is expected, and part of every handmade piece's evolving character.

Repairs

Sometimes life happens, and repairs are needed — we're happy to help. MIKA Hawaii offers repairs (where applicable) starting at a $10 minimum fee, plus any additional cost for materials and time, determined case-by-case.

To start a repair, email infomikahawaii@gmail.com with your purchase date and a photo of the item. Shipping and handling costs will be added to your final quote. Oahu market drop-off/pick-up is also available — just ask.

Made to Order

Many MIKA Hawaii pieces are one-of-a-kind and cannot be replicated exactly — that's part of what makes them special. Others are available made-to-order; for these, small natural variations in gemstones, textures, shells, or glass may occur, though we always aim to match the original as closely as possible.

Please allow 1–2 weeks of processing time for made-to-order pieces. Need it sooner? Contact us before ordering to discuss expedited options.

Custom Work

Created Just for You

Dreaming of a specific piece — for a wedding, a gift, or just yourself? Custom pieces are available on a limited basis.

  • $25 minimum deposit to begin (applied toward your final invoice)

  • Final pricing varies by design complexity and materials

  • Turnaround time depends on the piece

Exact replicas of past designs aren't guaranteed, but your custom piece can absolutely be inspired by one. To start, email infomikahawaii@gmail.com with your vision, inspiration photos if you have them, budget, and timeline.

Shipping

Delivered to Your Door

MIKA Hawaii ships via USPS. Please note we're not responsible for packages that are lost, damaged, or stolen once they've left our hands — for peace of mind, we recommend selecting fully insured shipping.

Made-to-order pieces require additional processing time, as each one is handcrafted in the order it's received — but we always aim to move quickly without cutting corners on quality.

Shipping options:

  • Standard USPS Ground Advantage — $6.99 (up to $100 insurance, 2–5 business days)

  • Full Insurance USPS Ground Advantage — $9.99 (2–5 business days)

  • Standard USPS Priority Mail — $13.99 (up to $50 insurance, 1–3 business days)

  • Full Insurance USPS Priority Mail — $16.99 (1–3 business days)

Sizing Guide

Finding the right size is just as important as finding the perfect piece — please review this guide carefully before purchasing, since all sales are final and returns or exchanges can't be accepted for sizing issues.

Bangles & Rings

  • Measure the diameter of a bangle or ring you already own (measure across the center for the most accurate reading)

  • Or wrap a measuring tape (or a piece of string, then measure against a ruler) around the widest part of your knuckle or the desired finger

  • Prefer hands-on help? Visit us at a local market to use MIKA Hawaii's bangle/ring sizer

Necklaces

  • Measure the length of a necklace you already own and love the fit of

  • Or use a measuring tape (or string) around your neck to find your ideal length

  • Sizing help is also available in person at local markets
